If pregnancy has ruined your once-flat stomach or you have an unsightly bulge above and/or below the belly button, then abdominoplasty or tummy tuck may be the solution. After extreme weight loss, many suffer from excessive, loose abdominal skin that drapes the body. During a tummy tuck excess skin is removed and the underlying abdominal muscles tissues are tightened. Women who have undergone c-sections or hysterectomies may find it particulary difficult to lose weight acquired around the midsection. In some cases, insurance may help with the costs - much of this has to do with one's past surgical history and can be discussed at the time of your initial consultation.

Men and women who have lost significant amounts of weight following gastric bypass or lapband surgery may find that their skin has lost its elasticity. This results in excessive loose skin that drapes the body. This hanging skin may make it difficult to maintain hygiene, find clothing that fits properly or cause the flesh to become irritated with simple daily activities. Excessive skin can be removed once the skin and tissue have stabilized following weight loss surgery - this may vary from 6 to 18 months, depending on individual circumstances. The most commonly performed skin excision procedures are:

    • Body Lift
    • Belt Lipectomy
    • Thigh Lift
    • Brachieoplasty (Arm Lift)
    • Panniculectomy
